Okay, so I have three 6 to 8-page essays to write for classes within a month's time (thankfully not all due the same day) before finals. It's not particularly hard, since I know what I'll be writing about, so once I get them out of the way, I'll hopefully be able to do some major catching up on all my blogs. Tomo's and all of the D-Boys' bloga are now inaccessible, but if I can continue it, I will. Next, I'll definitely focus on Nagaoka's, especially the last batch of back-backdated entries that I started.

In other words, after mid-December, I should have a steady-ish stream of translations coming in, unless my work tells me I have to work during winter break (like they always tell me to do). BUT I HAVE MY LAPTOP AND I WILL TRANSLATE DURING WORK IF I HAVE TO!

Yeah.

Happy Halloween! Hirata posted up a link to the blog of the horror film that he's in, so I think that's quite appropriate. ^_^ ~~He looks quite awesome there.~~ Normally I avoid horror anything myself, but if it's Hirata... I'LL GIVE IT A TRY.

Also, I've gotten about a third of Tomo's August entries translated. At the same time, I'm heading into the last half of the semester, which means lots of essay-writing. I just saw it on the news... As I thought, the typhoon this time caused a lot of damage to the Japan islands... (-_-;)

Everyone who got caught in the devastation, I'm praying from the bottom of my heart that you'll be able to recover soon!!

Then... That sort of strong typhoon made landfall in the Kantou area today, and early in the morning I went out in that storm to work... I went out to do filming ♪

I was really moved

One part that was particularly impressive was "Each time I perform, my own existence disappears, and I become my character 100%". This is how it should really be, I thought

For me as well, when I act, I really think about how my character behaves, how he feels, how to present it in my lines, and the script glares at me until I completely get it... (laughs) Once I put it into words and we start the actual thing but my "self" is still there, it's regrettable

So I really learned something from reading this article on Matsuyama Ken'ichi-san, I thought once again about how great he is, and I was able to target a new objective!!

When my next role will be decided, "my own existence will disappear and I'll become my character 100%" is my aim Just how many characters will take me to that extreme, I wonder

Paying close attention to this, I'll do my best in my next job

[1] Hirata was born in the year of the tiger, which is also the year 2010. Supposedly, according to this website, each person has a deity who serves as a protector for a specific year. On the other hand, my father has told me that since I was born in the year of the ox (which is this year), I also clash with my own deity, who is supposed to be in power this year. Ａ、At night, I take a walk near my house, sit down on a bench and look at the sky!

・How do you make up you role? Are you nervous during the performances??

Ａ、First of all, reading into the script, I'll understand that role's personality or surrounding circumstances, and I'll go create the role by imagining if I was that person ne!
Even now I'm bari-bari nervous!! But if I go into the role, the nervousness disappears ☆

・What kind of club activities did you do during your student days??

Ａ、Up until middle school, it was soccer and basketball club!
In high school, I didn't join any clubs at all!

・You had your first match during the Hyoutei performances but, do you have any episodes with Basshi?

Ａ、For me and Basshi, we had our first match but we hit various walls. But the serious and kind nature of Basshi always pulled me through! I'm bad at harmonizing and during practice not even one bad expression was done so every day he went out with me! Thanks to the doubles pairing with Basshi at the Hyoutei performances, the nature of the relationship of Inui-senpai and Kaidoh Kaoru were connected with the nature of our relationship! I trust in Basshi, and even now that feeling doesn't change!!

・I heard that Nagasaki is has a lot of hilly road so there aren't many people who can ride their bikes!
Is that true??

Ａ、No no, I don't think that is so! But there are no cars in the area I live in, so it's an inconvenience, since a car is a necessity when you become a working adult ne!
Perhaps not one household one car, but maybe it's more one working adult one car ne!

・Is there an episode during performances when you felt 「 Ah now I've done it! 」 ??

Ａ、During the costume rehearsal of the Hyoutei performance, in order to show off a more awesome Tornado Snake I rotated the racket in my hand like "kurun" but, there was sweat on my hand and the force was too much so the racket flew up overhead and, I hit a Tornado Snake without my racket ne (>_<)

・Do you have an interest in F1?

Ａ、It seems that Makki and Haru likes F1 but, I haven't seen it much before ne! Personally I like weaponless martial arts more ☆

・If you had to tell us your date plan, where would you go??

Ａ、Hm first of all we'll go to the movie theater, at night is the night view so we'll go to a lovely restaurant and that is like an adult-like date ne ☆☆

・If I saw you on the streets, is it okay to call out to you??

・Do you have a favorite artist? A favorite song?

Ａ、I have a lot!! If it's female artists, then it's Nakashima Miyuki-san, Onitsuka Chihiro-san, Shiina Ringo-san and the like!
If it's male artists, it's Oda Kazumasa and etc.
I really like band and individual music so there are a lot but, the friends who are from Miyazaki in Kyushu, I really like their band called General Head Mountain ne!
Also there are Blue Hearts, Brahman, Lost in Time, Back Horn, Ulfuls and such ☆☆
For western music, there are ReChi [Red Hot Chili Peppers], Sex Pistols, Ramones, Bob Marley, Eric Clapton etc.
I also love PUNK and Rock!
This isn't very detailed but, I am not particular about genre so I listen to various things ne!

・Do you have a spot you recommend in Osaka?? A store??

Ａ、I'm not very familiar with Osaka so I don't know but, I recommend the Tsuutenkaku I went to before!
Also, near Mielparque [Hall] there is a bar called Amataro where the night view is lovely ne!? smiles

・What is a piece of work you want to challenge in the future??

Ａ、I originally love movies so I want to try a shot from a movie or a movie itself!!

I don't really know many brands but, my favorite clothes are tetei, EGOTRIPPING, Naichichi and such I suppose!
But I'm the type who doesn't mind the standard type and such so, I'll wear the clothes I think are cute or cool ne!

・Which one of your mother's home cooking do you like best??

Ａ、She doesn't cook but, the cake that Mom makes a cake that's like banana tart is most delicious ☆

Ａ、I drink nothing but beer so I don't know very much about sake ne (>_<) [I drink] about three cups of beer so I vary with freshly-squeezed grapefruit and that's my current pattern ne ☆

・How did you get motivation after coming to Tokyo and what were the things you were worried about??

Ａ、Having the same dreams and talking or being with the friends and senpais who were doing their utmost best and feeling I shouldn't lose [to them] and, my willingness swelled so I talked to various people as much as I can!

Ａ、I think he's incredibly calm, incredibly kind!
Recently going drinking after the end of practice I was able to know more about the good sides of Gaku-san, even in the role this time, is a role that yearns for the sophistication of Gaku-san’s acting and I sense that it's incredibly great ne ☆

・When did you first meet Makki??

Ａ、At the Tenimyu audition!!

・Is there a character you think you resemble in the anime 「 Nintama Rantarou 」??

Ａ、Hm~ other than Rantarou, Kirimaru, Shinbei I don't know any others (>_<)

Ａ、Of course it must be revolving around going to the various areas, and the cast relationships deepening even more and now I was able to make a lot of friends ☆☆
The performances were for an extended amount of time so there were times when someone's physical condition broke down.. during that time, everyone sort of worries for him and joins together for that one person and it's really heartwarming that they follow through and I am really glad to be a member of this company ☆☆

・Is there a saying in Nagasaki that is like 「 Of course I don't understand this 」??

Ａ、Even with Nagasaki dialect, I lived in the rural area so I think it's a dialect that even the people in the city of Nagasaki won't understand (>_<)

Hello MnE-ers... this is disutansu, long time no see... Um, well my main computer wouldn't boot up last month, and I had to take it in to be repaired, so I didn't have my computer for a month. Also around that time, I started my summer session in college, and I also had work, so I was incredibly busy. @_@;; But right now, I have some free time, so I'm going to try to catch up, starting with Hirata's posts, since I was able to get some of it translated in between class and work on my laptop.

I'm going to be doing it in chunks of two weeks, and once I get caught up with everything, I'd like to get started on the two new blogs I've been wanting to translate (though I haven't been able to because of everything that had happened OTL).

So, bear with me! I'll post right when I'm done translating, so everything will be out of order for a while, but I'll go back on schedule once I'm caught up.

Returning to Japan from Paris,
I'll be writing about Paris as I am immersed by the memories of each day there o(^-^)o

This time,
really, I was able to go to Paris and experience and discovery various things!!

The streets of Paris were
incredibly pretty, and it felt calming!!

The people of Paris as well
were kind and my heart that was wrapped in their warmth was poka-poka-ing (warmth spreading throughout) o(^-^)o

The Japan EXPO too
was crowded with an amazing number of people, the culture and fashion of Japan, the manga and anime, were incredibly attracting and I was happy they understood it all from experience ☆☆

I wanted to convey them in my own way!!

Within myself,
[Paris] has become a play where I want to go to again if I have the chance!

And,
coinciding the end of the Japan EXPO event,
my role as Kaidoh Kaoru has ended. No longer can I
become Kaidoh Kaoru-kun again..

I feel accomplished and sad as well..

But,
there is a wonderful Kaidoh Kaoru called fifth cast Aki so, I'll entrust my feelings to Aki ☆☆

Ａ、During middle school, I was swimming in the river and nearly drowned ne! (smiles)

Ａ、To enjoy yourself while cooking and, not make the seasoning too strong!

・I've read in magazines and such that Hirata-kun is an M-type but, when do you feel like you're an M-type??

Ａ、Hm~ I don't really understand it but, there are times when I became happy because I mistook a touch to be one with good intentions! (smiles)

・What were your first impressions about the Seigaku fourth cast members??

Ａ、
Shougo, when I first met him, he was still a second-year in middle school, so I had thought "he's incredibly young..." but, he's a straight-forward person and really cute ne!

The first meeting with Dai-chan was during the first photographing of the pamphlet, and it was my first time writing comments so I was frustrated and he would always give me advice so I was glad! Even now Dai-chan, gives me various advice and is a person whom I can respect!

Toyo, the first time I met him was during audition so, I remember how Toyo and Makki and I were talking together! At the time, I felt that he was a quiet person but, now he's our mood-maker ☆☆

Yuuta, I first met him during tennis practice. When we competed with each other, I had thought he was huge! (smiles) A kira-kira (sparkling) aura that was difficult to get close to could be seen! Yuuta is a good guy who can see well around him and is attentive ☆

Mao, my thought as a country person was that "So this was a city high school student" who was fresh and cool and someone I admired! His heart is incredibly pure and his eyes are most incredibly pretty ne! Mao who is diligent and works harder than anyone else is Seigaku's idol ne!

Basshi, when I first saw him I remembered that 「 Ah it's a person from an ikemen paradise 」 and an incredible tension rose! (smiles)
Basshi really cares for me, and is very helpful, and is interesting! (smiles) I love Basshi's gag sense [sense of humor)! (smiles)

・Teyu, joined up with fourth cast after me so, I think he was incredibly anxious! And yet he doesn't reveal it on his face and does his best with all his might! He's a guy who holds hot feelings in his heart! With that Teyu I believe I could do my best too! I often visit Teyu a lot ne ☆

Makki, was the first person who talked to the me who was alone at the audition hall and wasn't talking to anyone.
At first I, received the audition for the role Momoshiro and, after that time I asked Makki for help a lot! He's really like an older brother and we also fought too but, I love how we reconcile about two seconds after we fight!

Tomo, doesn't seem like he's younger [than I am] and he's reliable and, I was always looking at Tomo! I was able to love Kaidoh Kaoru-kun because Tomo's awesome Kaidoh Kaoru-kun, and him teaching me the strength of his heart! Even now he's one of the actors I can respect!

Oga-kun, loves fourth cast more than I do, and really watches over everyone! There have been many times I've been really helped by Oga-kun! Even now I believe that Oga-kun is a member of fourth cast!
HaruMasa and Ryou-chan and Egucchan and Ryou and Tsubacchan and everyone are fourth cast is what I think!!

Recently the thing I am addicted to is, something that's like tsukune (chicken meatloaf with egg) where you have minced chicken meat, cut Japanese yam and mix with ginger! Add miso soup to it and eat it and it's delicious!

Ａ、From the start there was the feeling of wanting to become an actor that was always in my heart but, I didn't know how I was going to do that and, I was thinking how I was living like this in Nagasaki but, going through my seijinshiki (coming-of-age ceremony), and the conclusion of my band breaking up at the same time, that, was telling me to go pursue my dream, only without wanting to regret anything, first of all I resolve to go to Tokyo where there is a chance, worked recklessly for about three months to accumulate the fund to go to Tokyo and appear there!

[ Sheesh and I thought Masei had problems with run-on sentences. XD That was indeed just one sentence with comma splices all over the place, but at least he uses commas, unlike Masei. XDDD disutansu ]

・Who is your closest friend in Tenimyu??

Ａ、As expected it's Makki ne! But not limiting to Seigaku there are a lot of cast [members] whom I am friends with ☆

Ａ、I haven't been able to recently ne..

Ａ、I have a lot but, within those I loved the performance of Leonardo DiCaprio when I was in elementary school so, his performance in 「 Gilbert Grape 」「 Basketball Diaries 」 and such are yabai ne!
Another is, the movie called 「 Meet Joe Black! 」 that I love also!! I still have movies that I like so, I'll introduce them next time ne ☆

Ａ、If I think about it now, I think it's more like "I wonder when was my first love" (>_<) What kind of feeling is first love I wonder??

Ａ、Father is Kane-chan, mother is Macchan, older brother is Basshi, older sister is Dai-chan, younger brother is Haru (Halu), younger sister Sato-chan, pets are Shougo, Mao, Toyo, Makki (smiles)

Somehow I thought of nothing but all the members as male brothers! Having a lot of older and younger brothers feels great!

Ａ、Megu normally won't come close to you when you don't have food but, all the same you can't approach her if you don't show her food! (smiles)
Megu is a selfish and moody person so, with the exception of wanting me to pet her she just sleeps (>_<)

Middle-schoolers in summer

They play tennis, they sing songs, they dance...
Everyday we spend doing our best at rehearsal, drenching our clothes with sweat like middle-schoolers during afternoon clubs.

This time around it's tough! (^_^;)
Some songs are so harsh, that no matter how hard I try, I run out of breath and just gasp for air while desperately trying to keep up, like hi-fuh-hah-fuh~ (^_^;)

Will have to do something about this!

A short while ago after rehearsal, we had a chat about Tenimyu together!
At first, it was just me, Kane-chan, Baba-chan who plays Tezuka and Akki (Kaidou) who went out for dinner, but later Shingo (Jackal) and Mio (Bunta) joined us as well, and we spent a fun night out!

After discussing things together, we have accumulated a new energy to make this into a great stage!

Well then, now I'll be doing my best at my recording!

Presenting to the public for the first time, an exclusive picture!

Today I shot the promotional video (PV) for my CD that's going to be released on September 9th!!

The recording also finished yesterday, so for the time being I've done everything I had to do.☆

Since I had many other obligations inbetween, we barely managed to make it in time. (^_^;)

For this 3rd single, there were much more things to be done than ever before!

For the standard version we recorded three songs, for two of which I wrote the lyrics myself!! Look forward to the difference between those two~ (^^)♪

There was also the CD + DVD version, for which we had to record 2 songs, then the PV we shot today, and also the special footage.

We have finished safely today as well!!

The author of the original manga, Konomi-sensei came to watch the evening performance yesterday!

We talked to us about many things, it has been a great stimulus!!

So, doing my best tomorrow too!! Two performances a day are, of course, really draining, but we have so many people coming to see us that we completely forget the tiredness when standing on stage! (^_^;)
